This performance recorded live at Super Deluxe, Tokyo, on October 27, 2009. If you'd like to know what that string instrument is that's accompanying my voice, well, one video is worth a thousand words... [more inside]

This is a live recording straight from the desk at my band's most recent show. The song is basically about how work sucks so you spend your pay on booze to forget about it and have a good time. Deep, right? More tracks on our myspace.

Spur-of-the-moment lo-fi live cover of the Radiohead song off Hail to the Thief, to which I added a couple of equally rough overdubs and some reverb. The guitar is out of tune and poorly played, but the vocal melody tweaks are kind of fun. [more inside]

A live mix I did for an impromptu basement rave in my house. A little rough, but came together nicely for something so spontaneous. Also, wendells. [more inside]

I think this is a pretty fun riff/song. Using a piano, loop pedal, and recording on my laptop
Critique the hell out of it, as usual. (And, yes, I'm technically no pianist.)
Any suggestions about how to 'flesh it out' would be welcome, too!

This recording is an experiment to see how well Ableton Live handles a performance of Terry Riley's "In C". (more inside)

Kind of rough. We just mic the room and record while we play. No mixing or anything. I play the bass.

Classical music meets instrumental tango salsa rock. Live recording from the Ohio Action benefit show, October, Kenyon College. I took the solo on this track, replacing vocals with a violin "guest vocalist."

Excerpt from a live performance at AS220 in Providence, RI, by Flavour, which is Billy Gomberg and casconed (me). the sounds are entirely from circuit-bent children's toys.

A lofi, live, solo acoustic cover of the fantastic Yankee Hotel Foxtrot track, recorded a few years back. Music has been way too slow the last couple days, dammit.

FERB - 'Funky Electronic Rhythm n' Blues' is a little blues track I wrote and performed for a small class gig we did last year for the sake of putting on a show and having some random musical collaborations. I'd classify this as the first gig I ever did but fortunately I had some incredibly talented guys in the band to make me sound good!

This track is part 2 of a 23 minute mega mash up with a steady beat and some obscure samples. When I played this set live, I was happy to see people breakin' to it. Cool! http://www.albertoforero.com

My band recorded this for a Song Fight. It's quirky casio acuostic rock, with just a hint of out of tune accordion, and percussion supplied by a djembe. That's me singing.

This is my former band, Heat Lorraine. I'm lead guitar on this track.
We had broken up already when we played this show. There was a lot of resentment floating around. We'd all had a few drinks before we went on, but our lead singer (and rhythm guitarist) Brian was drinking with a vengence.

Members of the public were invited to bring a non-musical object to a drop-in recording session. We recorded them making a noise with their thing ('things' included carrots, an umbrella, false teeth, keys, photoflash, adding machine, pints of beer), and then the next day I did an improvised gig using only the collected sounds as source material. This is an excerpt from the gig.
