Spring and Sobriety
This is probably the third iteration of this song. No vocals yet. I'm not sure I like it, but I'm trying to hone it nonetheless.
Nova Sunshine
I'm working on this album concept where the earth's orbit has changed bringing cataclysmic changes to the the environment and season, ultimately bring about the extinction of mankind. This is sort of a nod to climate change but with a more dramatic, science-fiction narrative to emphasize and accelerate the outcome... [more inside]
satellite debris
I'm not sure what kind of album I'm trying to make. My emotions seem to be at conflict. [more inside]
Our Final Season
Another song I recorded lately. Instrumental for now but I think I can add some gothic vibe vocals to this one.
Not As Far As It Looks
Simple instrumental. Guitar, bass, programmed drums and keys.
Brush Fire | Indie Rock, I guess?
I've briefly interluded from my normal style of electronica music in order to focus more on a sort of indie rock sound, because clearly we need more of that totally not done-to-death genre, right? I'd appreciate any feedback, though, as I have a hard time being objective and either love or hate most of my creative output.
I've also included an impromptu creative writing piece inspired by the general idea in my head I had for this song. Details inside, yada yada. [more inside]
Summer Follows Redux
Impossible Bookings is a collaboration I kinda sorta foisted upon cicadaverse, who initially posted the instrumental version of this track 6 months ago. I put words to what he'd created, we each reworked what we had into shorter form, he remixed my vocals and added to the instrumentation...then life happened to us both. We caught up recently after a few months off, remastered it, and called it good. [more inside]
summer follows
instrumental guitar rock. A bit of messy improv guitar on the quiet parts...
distinct queries
All rock instrumental...no vocals... [more inside]
Christmas party for one

Plain Dislike You
I felt like destroying something so I destroyed this tune.
olean
I song I wrote in up-state new-york. Instrumental guitar as is often the case...
Lift Off Delay
Continue to vent my frustrations of daily life through hard rocking guitar for now... [more inside]
Times Tomorrow
Not my usual Genre but this fit my mood tonight. Just heavy guitar rock instrumental at heart...
cycle off
Just wrote this tonight...just your average guitar melodrama...
savory for me
Just an experiment of guitar electronic fusion I've been playing with. I'm planning on doing an album-full of these types of songs soon.
deeply listening
Spent the last year learning to program and had no time for music. Finally got a job and a new-ish life so I thought it's time to get back to some things I enjoy.
This one is different from my normal thing though I suppose I'v'e always had an attraction to analog merging with electronic. Maybe thanks to new order/joy division??? Though this doesn't sound anything like those.
WomenChildren
Guitar instrumental. Some slide. GarageBand on the drums.
Road Race
Instrumental with big tunes and riffs, and a driving cadence that's perfect for cycling (especially if the weather should force you to ride indoors). Bandcamp download (with artwork).
def dev puts @development end
Finished my online web dev course. It was time to relax and take a break from writing code...
B'doo Deh Du
Dance-Rock Late-70's-type Instrumental. Maybe if Thin Lizzy and the Talking Heads were commissioned to write the theme song to CHiPs? The only lyrics are "B'doo deh du" and "Bah-Bah-Bah-Bomp!" [more inside]
2 days left
I haven't written a song in a while (or it feels too long to me at least). This is just some more guitar rock with a hint of electronic programming. It fits the mood I'm in mostly. Two days lefts to go until I start my three week holiday. I've been working full-time without a vacation for about 2 1/2 years. I need a break...
based
an old improv song I did...
Well the base was formulated but the guitar was improv. and the programmed drums were an after thought. Luckily I have the foresight to record everything in time.
almost time
This is a guitar-only outtake from another song I did. I was going to use it as a outro on that song but the original clocked in a 9 minute time already so it got discarded. But still, I like the feeling of it...especially as it's guitar with no other instruments ;)
native
I was really happy with this one when I first recorded it about 19 months ago. Listening to it now, I realise it was given way too much compression in the mastering phase. unfortunately I have lots the master project now with a faulty hard drive so it it what it is... [more inside]
Lawn Mower Times
Another combination of Guitar vs. Keyboards. Guitar gets the first move this time.
Battery Charger Error
recorded about 7 months back, I thought It'd be nice if Guitar and Keys could share some space and cohabitate. I sort of liked the combination of both here.
leisure for real
this is a bit of a lofi track from 2012. I looped a bass line and then jammed out to it. Then I thought, wow, if any bassist hears this, he's going so think, what a boring pass part! So for those bassist out there, I threw in a bit of a bass solo as an outro.
patience
I think this may be one of my favorite things I've done guitar-wise. I started out with a very basic chord progression and just played out as many variations of that as I could think of and then took my favorites and combined them into a simple quiet/loud dynamic. [more inside]
downshift
So...I didn't think I'd have time to work on a new song but the last 24 hours have freed up so... [more inside]
west life
Another hit!...or not. I moved to the west some time ago and decided to celebrate by writing a song. [more inside]
gr1 vs. 2
kind of unhappy with this one. A bit Grunge and couldn't work in the finesse I wanted to.
where's the exit?
Just another instrumental rock song. A few more electronic elements added in this time but overall, still very much guitar based.
disc
I went to a lot of Punk shows and listened to a lot of that type of music in my youth. I think I paid like $7 or $8 to see Greenday before they exploded on MTV. My friend's band opened for them. Likewise, NoFX, Pennywise, Bad Religion, and many others were among the bands I saw live as a teenager.
I haven't really listened to a lot of those bands for a number of years but sometimes I run across a random track in my music library and it brings back all those memories. [more inside]
convolutions
I have been making too many one part songs lately so I had wanted to do something with a few different parts, you know, like a verse, a chorus, and a bridge and maybe if I'm lucky, a super-chorus... [more inside]
The long queue
I used to have to commute through rush-hour traffic. You spend a lot of time thinking or zoning out when your car is not moving very fast.
mid-autumn festival
The last song of the project formally known as Old Ship Arcadia.... [more inside]
october
Another track from the same project as the previous one I posted.
daylightsaving's eve
This is from a project I did about 2 years ago I think. I don't think it's ever seen the light of day till now.
It's a bit low quality in it's mastering probably. I wanted to do an 8" with this and 3 other songs but never got around to it. [more inside]
there are other things also
I was feeling another bunch of unsettled feelings so I thought I better do another discordant, frustration-venting song.
[more inside]
carefully optimistic
I thought I'd try to write something more upbeat. I couldn't think of a vocal melody so I just filled it with different guitar parts.
equals66
just a rock song (instrumental). I played around a lot with some organs and synths but still guitar based overall...
xhu alt.
Instrumental rock I recorded a while ago. [more inside]
it takes a long time to become whole again....
Instrumental. This was actually a song I wrote as early as 1993. I kind of stumbled on a really terrible recording of it from back then (you would not want to hear it, believe me), and I thought why not revisit it, so I jammed out some parts on the chord progression and eventually recorded this. [more inside]
Lantern Selection
instrumental, guitar rock. I had fun writing this one a few months back.
crashing is not safe
I got in a car crash about a month back. No one got hurt but it was still kind of scary (I had my 13 month old in the car and she was screaming and crying) and afterwards, it was really depressing/distressing. It was really hard to get to work and I couldn't go anywhere and then there's the money I had to borrow to fix the car. [more inside]
ode to an imaginary bicycle on a grassy hill
I wrote this song night before last because I haven't written much lately.
No vocals because, my vocals would only make it worse. Really. But feel free to sing your own! [more inside]
Long Weekend
A demo from a project of mine called The Phone Calls. This will be on the next record [more inside]
