Instrumental; checking out what my new Axiom 61 can do with Logic. [more inside]
This Song Was About Crying
It's a snow day here in Wisconsin and that means that the kid and I are recording. This one is 5 tracks of kid vocals -- sort of a nonverbal impressionistic vibe this time -- with some canned drums and synth. And some crying at the end.
Atriplex - Saladin Circle
Some shifting noise and randomness. [more inside]
My Sister the Giant
I'm doing an album this month, and this is the first thing I've recorded for it. I think the album will be mostly or completely instrumental, but we'll see. [more inside]

Existentialist Hip-hop. [more inside]
Like Unto Pistols
A few of you wanted to know when my band Voodoo Economics's next album came out. Welp, it's out. It's called 'Nighttime Sabbaticals'. Here's a track from it. [more inside]

AF447
Mine is the last voice you will ever hear.
Big Sound (Rubber Band Box)
3753 cruithne
Continuing with my beat-oriented theme of late. Autechre-like, but they're still 1,000 times better than I am. This one's noisy and glitchy, just the way I like it.
chthonian planets 4
A curious alien has snatched one of our spacecraft from orbit and sent back a very strange signal...
Darwin IV
There's a way in at the back. It sounds better inside.

hyperluminous quasar
Something a spacecraft might hear on the edge of the solar system
No Tomorrow
Experimental monotony-rock alert. Listen at own risk. [more inside]
galactic halo
A mellow, trippy piece with a discordant edge. File under "dark ambient for stoners."
SIMPLICITY
A minimal microtonal piece in 5/4. [more inside]

2 minutes and 30 seconds of crap

LD-50 -- Sixty Minutes, Six Megabytes
WARNING (OR PROMISE): Highly abstract and very, very long. [more inside]
death is the road to awe
A relaxing drone; noise waveforms are dominant again
Immortal Jellyfish
The second effort for this year's RPM Challenge from my experimental, noisy super-happy-fun project, "The Very Best of Spaz." Like its ocean dwelling namesake, this Immortal Jellyfish always manages to revert to its juvenile form. [more inside]
industrial society and its future
Extra dark and ominous; uses mostly noise waveforms instead of sine waves
some of them are hard to look at, since they are disfigured
Exceptionally resonant bass channel with two layers of percussion on top [more inside]

Dark ambient work with an industrial undertone and extreme use of reverb [more inside]
bide your time and everything becomes clear
Dark and moody. Lots of reverb. This is my fourth generative piece.

what goes on in those dark rooms
Six layers of sound, created completely from scratch in the Operator soft synth, sent through a filter delayed return track
i've seen what they do
Second generative piece; bassy pad and six layers of percussion
Bloom
This is a short IDM-esque style electronic piece written in the fall of 2008. I was largely inspired by the idea of Klangfarben melodie, and tried to incorporate a lot of tone colors in the piece, especially by experimenting with modulating the LFO rates of the synthesizers to different degrees to create many different "colors" of the same basic sound [more inside]
isolated research station orbiting a bizarre planet
Endcaps of warbling drone punctuated by bass stabs, and a middle section of high rhythmic complexity [more inside]
The Story of The Man Who Didn't Do Something
"This is a story of a man who sat at home all day and did absolutely nothing."
Our improv group is at it again, this time adding a DS-10 and an old electronic organ's rhythmic presets into the mix.
22 minutes in length.

Perfectly Awake First Time
This is the center piece in a 5-song ep length project I finally got around to "releasing". (Translation: I uploaded it to my website and posted a myspace bulletin. Strange times we live in.) [more inside]
Pizza
An improv ensemble decides to start improvising as a pizza order is placed. We will not stop until that pizza is delivered. Very experimental and 41 minutes long. [more inside]
Bail
Are you tired of bailing out major corporations that got into trouble because they were too busy screwing over the likes of you to properly run their numbers?
I thought gravity was supposed to prevent things from trickling up??? [more inside]
Omega Sunsets
This comes from the archives (dating back to 1999 or thereabouts), the heavily edited highlights of a long and extremely abstract jam. I produced it and I'm pretty sure I blew into some kind of flute like instrument at some point or other. Apparently there's versions of it floating around out there credited to both LSD49 and Slow Fallout.

leave the earth behind you
Some experimental ambient textures and layering. Contains samples from Hulk Hogan & The Wrestling Boot Band, Unique Ason, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Björk, Four Tet, Morgan Freeman, and Busy P. Also some sampling of dirty audio jacks. Title from Fadhil al-Azzawi (Iraqi Poetry Today).
404
And now for something completely different... this is a somewhat experimental instrumental track featuring pulsing soft noise, soft organs and a distorted xylophone, fake sitar, and off-key distant "singing."
interpolis
pioneer to the falls / the days of wine and booze / heavy
in memories
A collaboration with non-mefite Riadsala, who sometimes records bass for me. This is a pretty strange track, with a lot of effects going on, with a weirdish tempo change into the chorus which is backed by something in the vein of guitar shredding. [more inside]
hell is other people
