I was going for "underwater exploring" [more inside]
sound out collaboration
My brother who lives in northwest Florida took the time, energy and money to come out and visit me in New Zealand. He's the only member of my family who's ever taken the effort to come out an visit me in the 8 years since I moved here but unfortunately due to just bad timing and unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't give him the welcome he deserved. Lama (Dunaewsky69 Remix)
This is one spacey tangent-filled whirlwind of an electronic mix, slicing elements of Ummagma's original version of 'Lama' into a whacked factory of digital sound - not for the light hearted when it comes to electronica, but certainly worth the trip :)
where it starts
This is one I did back in 2012. I wanted to do something more electronic but as that's not my forte, it ended up being pretty minimalist. I ended up overlaying a subtle guitar track in the end anyway...
Robot Sunrise
Another song from my newish free EP of quirky electronic cheese, "Part Time Drum Machine." I sort of picture a mechanical sunrise operated by heavy robots intent on bringing light joy. You know. [more inside]
Remix Snippet
What might be the outcome of taking a rather dreamy pulse-based trance inducing track, stripping it back, adding an addictive disco electronic undertone and phasing ghost-like vocals here and there (and rather rare)…? Have a listen and then you will know :)
BFD
Eastern European countries are home to remarkably sounding native folk music, and it is particularly welcome when any element, or even remnant, of that is mixed in with any form modern music. What a grande fusion it can be. That is what we feel happened with this song.
Lama (SOS Remix)
When you dig the original of a song so much that you can't imagine how anybody could possibly ever dissect it and re-embody it in an alternate format, sometimes you are pleasantly surprised when indeed someone comes along who capably does just that - with flair, good taste and a handful of cards up their sleeve, dealt ever so cleverly within the remix they have created. That's what we're talking about with this Sounds of Sputnik take on Ummagma's 'Lama'.
Metric Groove
From my new (free!) EP 'Part Time Drum Machine', this is an instrumental keyboard-based track driven forward by a cheap synth bass and Casio-ish beats. A different kind of style than you may have heard from me before. [more inside]
River Town (Mind Movies Remix)
Synthpop, Electronica, Indietronica, Electro bliss by the earful and here for the taking. Although it will be a while until this track will be published on any official release, you might enjoy this sneak preview.
Lama (Mind Movies Remix)
Sometimes the original version of a song can be so cool that you think that any remix might just destroy it… and then someone thrills your tits by creating something new from it that sucks you write in a smooches you from the first note. This is one such rework.
Arp Acquired
Much synth
Memories Of Emerald City
An attempt to get my synth-plugin to sing. The tune I wrote sounds kinda like MPS from Kid A, but it wasn't intentional ;-)
Heat Death of the Universe
This morning's pumped-up-for-the-day electronic dance music session, now with more pump organ! [more inside]

auto rhodes; auto keys; auto kit
Tooth Reef Wharf Hive
A mellow electronic instrumental from the vaults.
AYATOLLAH
I am happy to you. Inspired by this MeFi post and the audio that went with it. And old track I remixed. Particularly looking for feedback on the bass instrument and how it's mixed etc.
Ghost World
I put this up a month ago. I put some more effort into it. Samples include Bernard Parmegiani, Erik Satie, Glen Miller.
F'n Amazing
More electronic beats! I was going to wait until I had finished a whole song before I posted this, but who am I kidding? This is probably it. I think I'm getting better at making virtual instruments though. If not better, louder at least.
Millimeters of Mercury - Immortal
A cutesy synthpop commentary on basic human nature, fears, religion, why we think what we think and do what we do, and our place in the universe. [more inside]
Bloc Head
It's Devo samples all the way down.
Moonstones
Synth-based dance with a nocturnal air. [more inside]
Lama (Dunaewsky 69 remix)
I love it when one talented artist can take the work of another talented artist, creatively metabolize it, and then craft output that is impressive in it's own right. This remix takes a quirky electro approach to Ummagma's track 'Lama'. Hope you enjoy it. [more inside]
Ummagma - River Town (Mind Movies Remix)
This is one Ummagma track that has been totally turned on it's head, taking what was a dreampop folkrock-ish track and utterly transforming it into an whirling electro-dance track with traces of vocals from Shauna McLarnon. One slight change from the previous version.

Fly Dog!
Flyball battle anthem. Not quite "Eye of the Tiger", to be sure, but you can still turn it up and rock out. Electronic instrumental. [more inside]
Boss Mode
A short track inspired by Super Mario World. [more inside]
(I did) stupid things
Detuned, broken, serialist hip-hop. (4:05)
Anthem of the Mind
More massive amounts of Massive. I think it builds up nicely. Let me know what you think.
Cordimitic
An electronica track (possibly describable as “techno”) I created in one day for the 20th Project. It starts with a kick/hi-hat (and later a snare) as well as synth bass and lead lines; the track itself is in 7/4 time. [more inside]
Why Go Through the Motions
Made with luv using hydrogen, ardour, audacity, a novation xiosynth, amsynth, and LINUX!
Guest Star
Jazzy electronic instrumental. [more inside]
21 point loop HB
A wacky exercise with acid synths and a hip-hop break.
Brownian
I decided to see what was around for tracking/chip-tuning these days. This is the result of a few hours of messing around with SunVox. [more inside]
Anthem of the Heart
128bpm, dancey instrumental, mostly made with NI Massive. [more inside]
one note
Based on The World Famous' challenge idea in this thread, to make a song using only one note. [more inside]
qmb4c2e2
A simple and relaxed electro / ambient / drum and bass jam (3:06).
Teen Drugs
Pretty self explanatory. Drug teens doing teen drugs. [more inside]
Magic Theatre
You are feeling very sleepy.
Nineteen Thousand Sunsets
Ambient instrumental piece. It's a rather ambient dialog between the guitar and a bell-like sine synth. Long pauses. Slow paced. Throughout my life, one of my constant joys was always watching the sun go down. I've seen so many variations of this event that I wanted to express a condensation of the variety and bittersweetness of all those sunsets.

The Flank of Bridenstein
I had a bit of fun with this: it's about a relationship gone wrong. I believe that the dual bass part is rhythmically interesting. Double bass and synth bass rhythmically intertwine and are coupled with a synth trumpet. There may be some Brian Eno influences a la The Drop.
My album is available for $5 download at CD Baby: The Dividing Range.

Honey Babe
On electro-acoustic drum kit, with pitch-a-ma-skronked vocal. Video here.
U-Foe
By Robotic Storm Cloud. Composed in 2000 or so (!) using wave editors and Sonic Foundry Acid. Crazy samples, drum loops, the works. [more inside]
Lama (Dunaewsky69 Remix)
Kiev-based electronic instrumentalist Dunaewsky69 (a.k.a. Oleksandr Gladun) is one of Eastern Europe's most productive DJs. Otherwise dubbed as the "electronic pilot", his most recent EP "Termination Voice" was nominated for the Qwartz Electronic Music Award. This is his latest remix for Ummagma "Lama".
This remix is a departure from the original Ummagma version of "Lama", but hopefully you can also appreciate this remix. [more inside]
Micro Macro
Indietronic ethno-ethereal fusion is how I would describe this Ummagma track, which is the first Ummagma song you've heard here with male vocals. I feel like this tune has a strong gypsy fusion lifeline running to it from some mysteriously brilliant source, call it what you will. :) Once again, any feedback is appreciated. We've also ventured into indietronic a little here.
Shanghai Jim
Circa 06: sped up samples, off-kilter rhythms, synth bass, all washed in reverb
