Bigass Pizza Blues
Trying out an exciting new piece of recording gear, the Strymon Iridium!!
Using my friend's old Roland SoundCanvas to get the mellotron-esque string sounds and the Yamaha SLG-100 for the acoustic vibes. It records remarkably well, though definitely not the same as the real thing. Little bit of fretless bass action on here as well!! [more inside]

Ven Aqui 1.0
A bit of a production experiment; rather than use a click track + programmed drums, I used a click-free guitar track as the bed, and layered performed keyboard drums on top. A slightly trickier process but thought it would result in more authentic feel/better pocket etc. An instrumental demo track based off Milton Nascimento's "Cravo e Canela". Recorded in the fall of 2015 in Rosebud, AB.
At 2:36 I quote a song that my parents always used to play growing up. I think it is a Tears for Fears song but I'm not sure. If anyone could ID this song for me I would be really grateful, it's an awesome song but I have no idea where to find it, I haven't heard it in years. Bit of a guitar feature on this one Cheers CA
It's a Quickie
3 minutes of fun
I imagine this as the music for one of those games where you're flying down a neon space tunnel or wormhole or something, dodging asteroids and mythical space creatures. Or maybe one of those levels in Battletoads where you're riding, well, hoverboards.
